We all know that when you are looking at getting your haircut into a drastic cut you research it, research it and research it some more.  Heck, some of you may even load your pictures onto one of those websites that allow you to stick a different haircut on your head so you can see how it looks with your facial features.  Well, if you do not want to do that, you don’t have to for there are many other ways that you can switch up your look without uploading your picture – anywhere…

First, you will want to find the most flattering cut for your face shape, your normal hair texture (not the hair texture you have after you straighten it)!  You will a. need to decide if you want to keep the length you have and b. decide if you want to add length if you have short hair.

Looking at beauty magazines will really help you in the long run for you can see all sorts of different hair cuts and styles that could go with your face shape and would be perfect for you.  The one thing you do not want to do is go into a salon with absolutely no idea of what you want.  Take some control!  You wouldn’t let someone work on your car who doesn’t exactly know what is best for it right?  Same with your hair – although stylists know what they are doing, they do not know what will be right for you.
