Now that we know about underlying tones in you flesh, let’s explore some options for you when choosing your hair color.  Those with a yellow or golden skin undertone have a warm skin tone, while those with a pink or even blue undertone of skin fall into the cool skinned category.  If you have a warmer underlying skin tone, it will definitely benefit you more to choose more natural hair colors such as strawberry blonde, deep rich auburns and chestnut browns.  Where if you have cool skin tones, you can pull off the more exotic hair colors like reds, blacks and burgundies, these hair colors, while not natural, look fabulous on anyone with a cool skin tone!

While it is definitely important to pick the right color for your hair, you do not have to go by exactly what we are saying – for instance, if you like red hair and you have a warm skin tone, go for it!  Just keep it natural is all, do not go with the reds that feature a heck of a lot of purple and you should be fine!

Now, there are exceptions to every single rule and of course we will explore some of those in the next part of this three part blog!  Stay tuned, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
