In the last blog I mentioned that there are a few tricks and loopholes when you are trying to achieve the perfect hair color for your skin tones.  Well, we went over what colors go great with warm or cool skin tones, but what if you are a cool skin tone and you really want a color that usually looks better with warm skin tones?  Well, not a problem!  Just get yourself some highlights.  Highlights usually make your hair look very different and while the base color would still fit your skin tone perfectly, adding in some highlights that may not usually go well with your particular skin tone will make it drastic and look all around fabulous!

For instance, have pink and blue undertones, intense browns, reds or blonds work well for the base color and golden, ash or honey highlights look amazing for a contrast.  If you have red undertones it is important that you do not choose a red base, but that does not mean that you can’t have some strawberry blond highlights!

So as you can see, there are many different ways to get around your skin tone and get the color that you not only want, but also one that you love!
