The final part in our three part blog about hair drying methods is here! In this part we will explore some of the ways to safely blow dry your hair, which, honestly is what I needed to learn. First, when you are blow drying your hair, you want to make sure that it is not soaking. Blow drying soaking hair will not only take a long time, but it will also damage your hair even more. Hair, as you may have read in part 2 of this blog is at its weakest when it is wet, so be aware of that!
Next, do not hold the hair dryer too close to your hair – six inches away is a great distance and be sure that you constantly move the hair dryer around your head. While it may sound weird, blow drying your hair upside down is the best way to ensure that all of your hair will not be over-dried and it will protect all of your outer strands. Blow drying your hair while bent over upside down is also a fantastic way to add all sorts of volume to your hair, so if you are looking to add in a bit of volume, that is the best way!
Now that we have explored both ways to get your hair dry, the choice is ultimately yours. Personally, I can not live without a hair dryer, but if you have the time, air drying your hair is a fantastic option! Just remember to be careful with your strands, as they are extremely fragile when they are wet!
