So now that you have a little bit of the inside scoop on hair extensions, how about we get into the nitty-gritty of taking care of these beautiful locks?  First things first: when considering hair extensions, make sure that your hair stylist knows exactly what they are doing – a lot of stylists try to avoid hair extensions and therefore have no idea how to put them in once they get a request for them.  Talk to your stylist prior to deciding and make sure that you are open to go to another salon if you are dying to have long, long locks.

Now that, that is out of the way, onto the hair care!  Firstly, be sure that you use a soft bristle brush and brush your hair from the bottom and work your hair way – this is extremely important when you have hair extensions so keep that in mind. Keep some hair ties around you at all times too and gentle tie your strands up while you are sleeping, this will keep your hair extensions lasting longer!  Do not – I repeat do not – color your own hair extensions.  This can only turn out bad, so wait until you can go have your stylist do it.  More on hair care tomorrow ladies!!
