So for real, many of us use hair spray on a normal basis and what if I could save you a few bucks a month by teaching you to make your own? It’s super simple and even if you are a little nervous, there is no possible way to screw up homemade hair spray, I promise. Okay folks, here goes nothing!
First, chop up one lemon or an orange if you have dry hair. Get a pot out and place lemon or orange pieces into it. Add two cups of water into the pot and put it on the boil. You are going to boil until about half of the water you put in is there now – after that, you cool it down a little bit, strain it and place it into a spray bottle. Go ahead and throw it in the fridge and you got yourself a bottle of homemade hair spray!
If you are finding that the hair spray is too sticky for you, a little more water can be added and an ounce of rubbing alcohol to limit some of the stickiness. This hair spray can last up to two weeks unrefrigerated and up to three weeks while in the fridge. That’s it folks! Now go ahead and start making your own hair spray and save yourself some money, I know we all need to save cash in this day and age!
