So in 2009, we are going to take a trip down memory lane and revive the 1940’s hairstyles. Updos, kinks and fluffy curls are all the looks that you will probably be seeing in ’09 and honestly? I’ve missed those! Blunt fringes, side swept bangs and layers upon layers are going to be ever popular this year, along with the bob. There is simply something about the bob that many people irresistible and seriously, it is the cutest haircut in the world!
One hairstyle that is going to be coming back strong in 2009 is the shorter crop cuts, like the pixie cut. While the pixie cut has been sort of in the background in 2008, but in 2009, it is the pixie cuts time to shine! A few colors that will be hot in ’09 are pinks, reds and deep copper tones, so for us redheads? It is our time to come out from behind the blonde bombshells and shine for all we are worth!

I love this prediction of short haircuts trend on pretty faces but haven’t seen too much of it back east coast. Admittedly we still have to get through the winter months. Finally after 15 years of the shag a I’m hopeful that a real change is in the hair, …er I mean air! In fact, my DW just cut her hair into the short red pixie cut you describe. While it is a smokin’ hot look for her I actually prefer the blond pixies. Summer always seems to wash out the red back to blond so I do have hope. Come on ladies it’s fashionably time to finally chop those long locks.
