Now that we have gone through how to choose the right hair weave for your life style, we now need to choose the right hair application method! The application process is going to be the biggest decision of your life – well, concerning your hair weave that is. You will need to decide whether you want your hair weave to be applied in the single strand method or whether you want it to be applied in wefts.
The individual strand method is going to involve taking a bunch of small groups of hair; maybe about 20 – 50 strands and applying the hair weave sections to your own hair. The hair is then attached with a heat fusion adhesive, clamp or wax. This style honestly, only lasts a few months before they need to be removed and re-applied, so you need to be careful about which method that you choose, you need to find one that fits into your life style.
The next application method is the weft method and this is instead of applying a single strands, the stylist will apply your hair weave in sections that may resemble a curtain. Now, hair weave wefts come in two different forms, machine-made and handmade. As you would imagine, handmade hair wefts are going to be much more expensive and more natural looking, so be sure that you pick between the two carefully. After you have made your choice, the wefts will be attached via a heat fusion, glue or even sewing!
