So really, with the entire world seemingly going organic, many people are switching it up and wanting to go organic with everything from their clothing all the way to their hair dye. Personally, I would love to use Henna hair dye and while I have never personally tried, it I was always curious about it.

That is the reason for the next series of blogs! We will go over every single detail regarding Henna hair dye and figure out if it is not only a better way to dye your hair, but also a better way all around to get your hair another color and if it is safe for your hair.
Firstly, not a lot of people probably know exactly what Henna hair dye is specifically. Basically, Henna is basically extracted from a tree by drying and grinding the leaves and stems on up, so it is pretty much all natural.
Love your information Keep em coming I look forward to more!
I have bough red henna too…it’s going to be my first time, but it’s a bit much to leave it from 1 to 8 hours…as it says on the prescriptionI think that’s the only bad thing about it. I also have a question: if i leave it only one hour, is the color going to be visible? I am a brunette, with some natural lighter highlights. I don’t have the time to leave that long. but is it going to show on my hair if i leave it olny an hour or 2?
I’ve been dyeing my hair for years with henna. It doesn’t just give it a beautiful deep red color (that doesn’t fade like red hair dye will), it makes my hair healthy and shiny. I get more compliments on my hair color (at least once a week) than I ever did when I was blonde or red using hair dye. The secret is to use pure 100% henna (I purchase mine on line), not a mix, blend, compound, etc. If the henna mix has been mixed with metallic salts, it has the potential to have a reaction with your previous chemical treatments (perms, dyes), which could lead to some very negative results (think green). Always do a little test on a lock of hair or some hair you’ve collected from your hair brush for a few days. I mix the pure henna powder with lemon juice; let it sit for 3 or more hours for the color to release; glop it on; put on a shower cap and lounge around for 3 hours or even overnight; rinse (the hardest part) and voila! GORGEOUS color! Good luck!
