So now that you and opted to go with the solid version of henna hair dye, it is now time to find out exactly how to use this incredible product!  First, you are definitely going to want to cut it up and put it into a heat-safe bowl that you do not really care about.  Add in some hot, hot water and let the henna seep for a while, until it is about a yogurt consistency.  This will make it much easier to put on and definitely make it less mess for you.

After you have let it seep and it has melted down a whole lot, you want to now put on some gloves and apply it – a friend will most likely be needed for this step as it is definitely hard to put on this type of hair dye yourself.  You want to make sure that you coat everything from back to front, covering it thoroughly.

After your entire head is covered, you now want to put on some cling-wrap and wrap that over your head.  This is where the waiting comes into play.  When you are dealing with henna hair dye, you are definitely going to have to wait a lot longer than with chemically based hair dye.  It can take up to six hours of leaving the hair dye on before you get the color you way, to make sure to keep that in mind before dying!
