So really, honestly, what is the deal with hair masks?  Do they work? How do you use them?  Do you have to buy your own?  Can you make your own?  Well folks, I had all of those same questions and I can promise you that I am going to answer each and every one of them – in another blog series!  Firstly, what is the real deal with hair masks?

Well, to be frank, your hair is going to get damaged every single day just by being exposed to the elements to long periods of time, so what a hair mask is supposed to do is protect every single strand and ensure that your hair is being protected throughout your day.  Before I decided to do this series of blogs, I realized that honestly, I needed to get some hands-on feel for hair masks and so I tried a bunch of different ones!

Now, there are two different types of hair masks for you to try, you can purchase one from the store or your salon or you can make your own. When you make your own, it is a lot better as you know exactly what is going to be in your hair mask, but if you do make your own, there is some risk of it not working quite as well as regular hair masks that are pre-made.  It is all what you prefer.
