If there is one thing that I have noticed lately, it is going to be that braided updos are becoming more and more popular – while I know that I talked about this earlier, do you really know how to do a braided updo? I didn’t until I actually did it. One of the first things that you need is Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray. This spray you are going to use on damp hair, focus it mainly on the root though and rough dry your hair using your fingers to bring out all of the natural wave and texture that it has.
Next, you want to create a large round section at the crown on your head and tease your hair underneath with a comb and secure that section with a large clip or pin. You want to French braid the hair on either side of the part and secure it with an elastic band at the bottom of each side. You want to release the center sections of your pin and break down some of the teasing so that it is not so bouffant-y.
You are going to make a total of about three French braids and they are all going to wrap around one another – it does not have to be perfect! Remember that! You just want it to be secured and after it is all up and secured, go ahead and set it and you are good to go!
