I am a person that knows all about flat irons. Personally, I flat iron my hair every single day it seems like, so I know all about them! One question that has been going through my mind forever is wet-to-dry flat irons … do they really work? Well, that is when I put my research to the test and I really did a lot of is on this particular subject. My results of that research are below – watch out!
One of the first things that I noticed about wet-to-dry flat irons is that they actually fade your color. There is something about the sudden switch from damp and cold hair to extremely hot and dry hair that actually splits your hair color molecule which in turn will result in a faster fading color – which will mean your hair will break down faster.
Another thing that I have noticed that people complain about when it comes to this type of flat iron is that it simply does not do the job as well. It will not get your hair completely straight and you have a greater risk of burning your head. My opinion? HUGE no-no on the wet-to-dry flat iron front.
